The old school distance of the "Wolfville 8 Miler" as it is affectionately known, traces a challenging route from Wolfville into the Gaspereau Valley and back into town, along scenic byways with rolling hills and two challenging climbs.
Prior to his passing in November 2013, Steve Moores was the race director of the Wolfville 8 Mile Road Race for more than a decade, the founder of the Valley Harvest Marathon, and longtime Run Nova Scotia board member. Steve was a fixture and an inspiration to many in the running, cycling and skiing communities as a believer in an active lifestyle.
Held in the early Spring, The Wolfville 8 Mile Road Race, is named "Wolfville, Spirit of the Valley 8 Mile Road Race" is in honour of the late Steve Moores.
